Calibration Methodology

The QN-100 uses linear regression to establish the relationship between sensor readings and actual moisture content. This calculator performs least-squares fitting with statistical validation metrics.

Prerequisites

  • ✓ Minimum 2 reference samples required
  • ✓ Lab-verified moisture values (ISO or equivalent)
  • ✓ Stable sensor readings for each sample
  • ✓ Wide moisture range coverage recommended

  • ✓ R² correlation coefficient
  • ✓ Standard error of estimate

Quality Assurance

  • ✓ R² > 0.95: Production ready
  • ✓ 0.9 < R² ≤ 0.95: Good confidence
  • ✓ 0.8 < R² ≤ 0.9: Good, monitor
  • ✓ R² < 0.8: Recalibrate required
