After you order

Support & commissioning

Installation is done on site by your contractor. Commissioning is an applications visit — from Absorption Systems, or your local distributor if you have one. These are the three stages we work through.

1

Before we visit

Have the mounting position ready so commissioning time is spent on the sensor, not waiting for civils or cable.

  • Clear view of the product, mounting space, and a cable route to the panel
  • Power confirmed as ordered (230 VAC or 24 VDC)
  • Air available for the standard purge, and for a sampler if fitted
  • Two reference samples (low and high moisture) with lab values written down
  • Fieldbus or IP details if used; serial numbers recorded on unpacking

2

Commissioning

A qualified electrician completes the wiring. An applications engineer then brings the measurement up.

  • Earth, isolator, analogue and digital I/O, and fieldbus if specified
  • First power-up and diagnostics, then auto-balance
  • Create or select a product and run two-point calibration
  • Alarm limits, analogue-output check, and sign-off

If a local distributor covers you, they lead. Otherwise Absorption Systems does.

3

After handover

Day-to-day use is the HMI Main Screen: product select and trend. Recalibration uses paired lab and sensor samples.

  • Recalibrate with the Calibration calculator
  • The optical window is borosilicate — no abrasives
  • Replacement windows and spares from Absorption Systems or your local partner
  • The QN-100 is not a SIL safety device
