The same NIR measurement as the QN-100, without the HMI. A compact 24 VDC interface board connects the sensor straight to your PLC over fieldbus, with an optional handheld HMI for commissioning.
The QF-100 uses the same near-infrared sensor head as the QN-100, so it measures moisture and other constituents in exactly the same way. The difference is how it runs. There is no permanent HMI: the sensor connects to a compact interface board, powered from 24 VDC, which sends readings directly to the customer's PLC over fieldbus.
That makes the QF-100 a good fit where the control system is already the operator's window on the process, where panel space is tight, or where several sensors report back to one PLC. For setup, an optional 7″ handheld HMI plugs in to commission the sensor, check readings, and adjust calibration, and can then be taken away again.
The interface board powers the sensor and passes its readings to the PLC. The handheld HMI is only needed while commissioning.
The QF-100 shares the QN-100 sensor head and measurement method, so performance and calibration approach are the same.
Readings go straight into the customer's control system over fieldbus, ready for display, logging, and closed-loop control.
A compact interface board powers the sensor from a standard 24 VDC supply and handles the fieldbus connection.
A 7″ handheld HMI plugs in for commissioning, checking readings, and calibration, then unplugs once the sensor is running.
With no permanent display to mount, the QF-100 suits installations where panel space is tight or the PLC is already the operator interface.
Several QF-100 sensors can report into one PLC, with one handheld HMI shared between them for commissioning.
Both use the same NIR sensor. The difference is how the sensor is operated and connected.

If operators need readings and calibration at the sensor, the QN-100 with its built-in HMI is usually the better choice. If everything is run from the PLC, the QF-100 keeps the installation simpler. Our applications team can help you decide.
